Rabbit, run!

   Open snow to tree's shadow,

      under a full moon.

   Surf swells, white foam forms
on rocks, lit by a setting sun.
   I close my eyes.

Wild geese in vees
   cross corn stubbled fields -
return as wood violets bloom.

Twisted icicles -
    from yoga studio's eaves
they gracefully drip.

   Canvasback, floating
on the top of a world
   swirling with trout dreams.

Groping through snowstorm,
   the quarry sails over drifts -
      Christmas bird count time.
